Course Description

The OTHM Level 6 Diploma in Tourism and Hospitality Management is a 360 credit Graduate Diploma which is equivalent to a full Bachelor (Hons) degree similar to a regular university bachelor degree completed from a UK university. This qualification contains the Level 4, Level 5, and Level 6 diploma qualifications altogether. This qualification is globally recognised as a bachelor degree including UK, USA, Australia, Canada, New Zealand, and Europe.

This Level 6 qualification is the first choice of college leavers who want to complete a fast- track bachelor level qualification and then to apply for a Master‟s degree to study abroad in UK, Australia, New Zealand, Canada, USA, and Europe.

The objective of the OTHM Level 6 Diploma in Tourism and Hospitality Management (360 credits) qualification is to develop learners‟ management knowledge and skills within the tourism and hospitality industry. Learners will critically evaluate contemporary knowledge and theories and use these to propose solutions to complex management problems.

Successful completion of the qualification will equip learners with the specialist skills and knowledge they need to plan and manage their work areas, to make effective decisions, and to adapt effectively to the needs of a range of tourism and hospitality organisations.

Assessment

This course is assessed through 100% coursework with a range of methods, such as essays, research reports, presentations, group work and practical reports.

Entry Requirements

To apply for this qualification applicants must have to meet one of the following criteria:
  • Level 3 Diploma in any Discipline.

  • A Levels or equivalent international qualification in any discipline.

  • FSc/ FA/ I.com/ 12th Grade or intermediate in any discipline.

  • Applicants having O Levels, Matric or 10th Grade will be considered on case to case basis.

  • Applicants over 21 years of age having a relevant work experience can also apply, as a mature learner, without having any formal qualification.

  • We welcome applications from international students. If your first language is not English you will be expected to have overall IELTS 6 (with at least 5.5 in each component). You may be exempt from providing evidence of English language proficiency if you have gained your previous qualification from an English Speaking university or awarding body.

  • All applications are considered on an individual basis. Applicants may be invited to an interview, either on campus at CGL or online, as part of the application process
